Trends in Urban Farming

Over the past 20 years, new trends in the farming community have emerged, including establishment of urban farming. Some of these urban farmers are choosing this lifestyle simply out of interest, while others do it to become more self sustainable. Many urban farmers are part of a co-op who are interested in sharing knowledge and best practices to produce high yields in small urban spaces. Others are entrepreneurs who use revenues generated by their urban farm business to invest back into the farm or earn a modest income.
